Cathleen Chapman

Cathleen Chapman is an experienced real estate attorney with expertise in a wide range of real estate transactions. She represents developers, private equity groups, and other clients in connection with the acquisition, financing, leasing, development and disposition of undeveloped land, commercial properties, and master planned residential and mixed-use communities.

Prior to joining the firm, Cathleen served as Commercial Counsel for the Global Workplace Solutions division of Johnson Controls, Inc., a leading provider of corporate real estate and facilities management services for large companies worldwide, where her practice was focused primarily on office and industrial lease transactions, real estate brokerage matters, and commercial property dispositions nationwide. Before that, Cathleen was Assistant General Counsel at Terrabrook, one of the largest creators of mixed-use developments in North America, and an associate in the real estate practice group in the San Antonio office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP.

Cathleen received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Christian University cum laude with University Honors and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law.

Cathleen is a member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. She is also a member of the Parent Advisory Board of Bridge Lacrosse, a local sports based non-profit organization focused on broadening horizons of youth in urban communities.
